primary substation to the circle square development in manchesterWorking closely with Electricity North West, we have just completed the primary substations which will serve Circle Square.

Crookes Walker and Electricity North West have completed the design and construction of Circle Square’s two 23MVA primary substations, which will feed the majority of the buildings on the site of the old BBC buildings on Oxford Road in Manchester

Electricity North West are currently in the process of final commissioning of the HV switchgear prior to going live in the summer of 2019.

The site will be served by a private distribution network operator which CWC have also designed, along with all other underground services currently being commissioned.

The redevelopment of the former BBC site is one of Manchester’s most significant city centre regeneration projects bringing together offices, apartments, shops and restaurants around a new city park.
