The nine-storey building comes complete with everything you’d expect from a modern workplace including showers and bike storage, a fitness lounge and business lounge facilities for all tenants. Carbon emissions have been minimised through the use of PVs and LED lighting throughout, whilst the basement car park provides four electric car charging points.
Crookes Walker were commissioned to produce the stage 4 design for the CAT A refurbishment and monitor installation. A key part of the project was to integrate Workman’s new Intelligent Building Operating System (IBOS) with the building services.
The system uses the latest technology to automate operations, allowing for easy remote control and monitoring of comfort, air quality, lighting and emergency systems. This level of insight and control will be a vital step to getting buildings on the road to net zero carbon.
The result is a smart, integrated building offers tenants the very best modern workspace with technology at their fingertips.
The project was shortlisted for the 2023 Insider Yorkshire Property Fit-out of the Year Award.
