Shaping the minds of tomorrow.
Education plays a vital role in society, so the pressure is on to provide the very best teaching facilities for the next generation. The atmosphere has to be spot on with lighting, air quality and temperature all playing a significant role.
We know the learning environment has to be world class to get the best out of students and teachers alike. We also know value for money, longevity and sustainability are top priorities – don’t forget students care about the environment too so you want to practice what you preach. We can take of that for you.
“At Crookes Walker we create the environment and provide the infrastructure to enable a sustainable and rewarding learning journey. As diligent Building Services Engineers, sustainability and the route to decarbonisation lie at the core of our designs. “
– Simon Woods, Associate Director
Decarbonisation of education estates is becoming more relevant and we are working with education providers on both the studies surrounding carbon reduction and the implementation of the solutions to this.
Simon has over 30 years’ experience in building services and master planning for the built environment. He has led multidisciplinary design teams on numerous education projects within both framework delivery collaborative teams and one-off projects.
Simon was the lead engineer and project manager for SODA Building, Access Creative Colleges and the majority of our SEND schools projects.

“We have worked with CWC on several projects across many sectors. The advice is always prompt, clear and concise. We always feel CWC go that extra mile with very positive feedback from clients. They work well as part of a coordinated design team and with a conscious approach towards cost effective, commercial led design. CWC demystify MEP systems with explanations in sketch format to educate others not familiar with MEP Acronyms.”
